Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex's Lemonade Stand provides a meaningful and fun way to make a difference in the lives of others. As Alex once said, "holding your own Alex's Lemonade Stand is easy and fun!" It is also an inspiring way for caring people of all ages to support our mission of curing childhood cancer, one cup at a time!

Steps to holding your own Stand or fundraising event: 

1. Pick a Date: You can choose any date or dates that work for you or you can participate in our Lemonade Days, June 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2010.

2. Register Your Stand or Event: Let us know that you are hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand so we can be sure to keep in touch and guide you through your fundraising.

3. Be sure to Ask People to Donate to Your Online Fundraising Page:  You will create one when you register.

4. Read our Hold Your Own Stand Packet: For detailed suggestions on planning and hosting your Alex's Lemonade Stand, check out our downloadable packet and materials on our resources page.

5. Download: Find stand resources such as signs, sample fundraising letters,  and information about childhood cancer for use at your event. 

6. Plan and Hold Your Stand or Event: Pick a location, make a list of supplies and start making a list of things to do. Start getting as many people involved as possible -- they can help you plan, donate to your efforts and bring their friends to your stand.

7. Send in Your Cash and Check Donations.  
   Checks and money orders should be made payable to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and must be sent within 2 weeks of your fundraiser to:

8. Thank your Supporters: Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation will thank and provide receipts for tax purposes to your donors who write checks and for whom we have contact information. However, a personal thank you from you to donors to your stand is always a nice touch. We have included a sample thank you letter in our resources section.

 

9. Be proud: Take pride in the fact that you have taken a stand and made a difference for children with cancer!
